<h3>Responsibilities:</h3>
<p>§ Researches and plans the electrical and electronic design in accordance with product requirements as established from various sources including marketing, customer, and specification documents.  Develops detailed requirements for electronic systems.<br />
§ Designs and develops product subassemblies and assemblies including detailed electrical, electromechanical and firmware design and documentation. Hands-on electrical design, schematic capture, subassembly prototyping, debugging, and system integration are key components of the development activities.<br />
§ Develops documentation for design requirements, unit testing, design specification, assembly specification and parts list management for PCAs.<br />
§ Selects, in conjunction with Purchasing and Regulatory Affairs and Quality, potential suitable component suppliers for the company’s product.<br />
§ Implements, tests, and documents electrical and electronic requirements for production. This includes supporting transfer of relevant design output documents and recommended process instructions.<br />
§ Provides work breakdowns and estimates of effort for personal project work, in conjunction with the Electrical Engineering Manager and Project Managers.<br />

§ Completes projects in a timely manner with proper documentation, developing hardware and software as specified with minimal errors, following development process procedures and reporting promptly the progress, plans, and problems in a concise manner.<br />
§ Contributes to the development or improvement of processes.</p>
<h3>Qualifications:</h3>
<p>§ Bachelor’s degree in electronics or engineering and 1-5 years of design and development experience in the medical device, electronics, or other relevant manufacturing industry.  An advanced technical degree is a plus.  Suitable work experience in a technically related field may be considered in lieu of formal education.<br />
§ Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment, as well as some familiarity with shop machinery that may be utilized to fabricate prototype components.<br />
§ Good verbal and written communications skills preferred.<br />
§ Good computer skills, including the use of standard office software programs including spreadsheet, word-processing, and email applications.<br />
§ Familiarity with the use of engineering tools such as version control and defect tracking systems.<br />
§ Experience in project management or as a team member in managed projects is desirable.<br />

* The complete performance management of suppliers and supply chain partners in terms of value delivery (quality, cost, delivery, safety, project mgt). Work in conjunction with Divisional or Corporate Sourcing team members to manage cost and cost reduction activities.<br />
* The audit and assessment of both potential and current suppliers against both Thermo Fisher requirements and external quality standards. Drive corrective actions based on audit findings. Issues and close Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR).<br />
* The documentation of supplier capabilities and execution readiness with respect to new technologies and/or product introductions. Construction of new product readiness gap closure plans and ownership of their implementation at the supplier.<br />
* The collection, documentation, creation, interpretation, and/or communication of detailed product level knowledge in terms of both hardware and software operation in order to ensure successful supplier execution of all product performance requirements.<br />
* Training and/or teaching suppliers (their staff) to successfully build &#038; test Thermo Fisher products.<br />
* The education (training &#038; teaching) and review of supplier knowledge related to product level performance so the supplier can successful build, test, troubleshoot, and repair complex Higher Level Assemblies (HLAs) or Top Level Assemblies (TLAs).<br />

* Manage the supplier launch of new products, the supplier end of life of existing products, and the transition of products between manufacturing sites. Use Site or Divisional procedures to execute product launches, end of life’s, and transitions as appropriate.<br />
* The full management of the approval process for 1stArticles and PPAP samples associated with new product introductions and/or product moves. Close interaction with Design Engineering during the 1stArticle or PPAP process.<br />
* Actively participation in the processes of Value Engineering (VE) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) in order to generate ideas and implementation plans to reduce cost, improve quality, and improve continuity of supply with specific suppliers or supply chain families.<br />
* Work with suppliers and internal engineering groups to design, implementation, and qualification of new or modified manufacturing and test equipment.<br />
* Ensure that suppliers have the complete and correct documentation (drawings, work instructions, test procedures, etc…) required to successfully build and test the Thermo Fisher products.<br />
* Ability to travel 25% to 30% on an annual basis.<br />

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements</strong><br />
* Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics/Optics or related engineering experience.<br />
* Masters in Engineering is highly desirable.<br />
* Masters in Business (MBA) in addition to the engineering background is highly desirable<br />
* 0 to 10 years of Engineering experience and/or experience managing suppliers for complex technical product similar to the Molecular products. (note: 5 to 10 years for Sr. PSV Engineer or 0 to 5 years for PSV Engineer)<br />
* Previous experience with New Product Launch is desirable.<br />
* Previous experience in R&#038;D / Design Engineering is desirable.<br />
* Previous experience working with suppliers in a global supply chain is desirable.</p>
<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions</strong><br />
* Must have a strong, functional, understanding of the MOL products and how the products operate to the degree that the PSV Engineer and can educate and review supplier operations. The ability to learn this knowledge can be considered minimally acceptable since many candidates for PSVE roles may not have exposure to MOL products.<br />
* Strong understanding of manufacturing principles such as Lean, Continuous Flow, Value Steam Mapping, and Six Sigma Quality.<br />
* Strong understanding of basic New Product Launch / New Product Introduction procedures and particles.<br />
* Excellent mechanical, electrical, optical systems aptitude<br />

* Fundamental project/program management skills.<br />
* Knowledge of or ability to learn 1stArticle approval process or the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).<br />
* Ability to interact efficiently and work cooperatively with different functional groups, especially Design Engineering &#038; Strategic Sourcing.<br />
* Experience with global supply chains and dealing directly with vendors and/or suppliers in all regions of the world.<br />
* Ability to travel internationally and conduct new product launch readiness assessments at suppliers or other Thermo Fisher sites.<br />

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>   Design and develop products and contribute within a multi-tasking product development environment utilizing both analog and digital electronics as well as some embedded software programming</li>
<li>
    Primary responsibilities include designing, prototyping, and testing electronics contributing to fast paced product development programs</li>
<li>
    Development &#038; preparation of wiring diagrams and schematic diagrams</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications:</h3>
<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>  Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required</li>
<li>
    5+​ years of experience with analog and digital design as well as C embedded software programming</li>
<li>
    Strong basic electronics lab skills</li>
<li>
    Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, small-company environment demonstrating energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude to problem solving</li>
<li>
    Strong written, presentation, and oral communication skills, as well as experience with MS Office</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>  Experience with FDA, UL, CE, or CSA regulatory requirements</li>
<li>
    Experience with Altium Designer software</li>
<li>
    Experienced RF design engineer</li>
<li>
