Seeking an entry level or junior level Electrical Engineer to work in our Facilities Business Unit in our Madison, WI office. Candidate will have a BSEE from an accredited University with a Power option would be a plus. The ideal candidate is interested in consulting engineering and the electric utility industry. Ideal candidate will have some experience in the design and specification of low and medium voltage power distribution systems for industrial and/or institutional facilities. A successful candidate will have experience with creating and issuing construction drawings and specifications, as well as, be able to demonstrate a good working design knowledge of grounding, lightning protection, surge protection, lighting, protective relaying, diesel generation, low and medium voltage motor control and switchgear breaker control, and UPS systems. Experience with power generation systems is a plus. Applicant must have excellent knowledge and experience with the NEC and applicable IEEE and NFPA standards. Experience with modeling electrical systems and running power system studies using ETAP Powerstation, PTW SKM or EasyPower is strongly preferred. Team leadership, mentoring and management of multiple projects will be core roles for this person. Applicant will interface directly with internal and external clients, and will demonstrate a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints.
